If there is one thing that you need to know about Carter, it is that he LOVES the water (He loves girls/women too, but that is a story for another day!), which should make Grandma & Grandpa happy, especially as he grows older and can really enjoy the water and activities at the lake.
Find below the pics of he in his gloriously cheap pool from Wal-Mart’s (as Jas would say). Our little water boy!

Carter's 1st dip in the pool.

Okay, I am back… I apologize for the lag in posts; things have absolutely been a flurry this month between Jas going to school 4 nights a week, planning Carter’s b-day party, Jason’s dental visit - fun times (:)), my grandfather passing away and life in general. To say that our life seems like a blur would be an understatement.
With that being said, there is LOTS to talk about…mainly our little guy growing up and about to turn one… :( I can’t believe it, and I must say that it is a bit bittersweet for me. He isn’t the baby that he once was. There is a part of me that is thankful for that (b/c he is SO much more fun), and there is a part of me that is sad b/c he is learning to be his own person, becoming more independent (I’m really having a problem with this one) and generally not a “baby” anymore.
So let the ride begin (and the blog “catch up” session)…

Okay, so I said that I would never be that kind of person who was obsessed with my children (currently child and no I am NOT pregnant), but I guess you really don’t understand UNTIL you become a parent. :) So I admit it, I am OBSESSED…but mainly in awe - in awe because I am blessed and priviledged to get to experience life through a child’s, our Carter, eyes…and what a gift that is!
Okay, enough of the mush, right? Here is what I am SO enamored about, and I promise to post my less-than-stellar pics as soon as Jas gets home b/c only the pics will provide you the whole picture (no pun intended). Somehow Carter became aware that he was wearing a collared shirt…not really sure how, but nonetheless he was aware. Of course that isn’t the amazing part.

- Carter on the move with a block intact.
Moving on…the amazing thing is that he decided to stuff his blocks (yes, I did say blocks and not just block) in the back collar of his shirt - again, not really sure why, possibly he wanted to “easily” carry his blocks around as opposed to crawling with them in his hands as is usual. That being said, he decided that he needed to crawl, pull up and generally get around while balancing them on his back.
What a funny guy, and what an amazingly, perfect little boy!

So it has become abundantly apparent that time is flying by, even more so as we raise Carter. Wow! How children put everything in perspective! In any case I am blogging in order to capture some of the special moments of our lives, in particular memorable moments of Carter’s life.
So what is our little guy doing right now? Well at this very moment sleeping…thank goodness! However, he is beginning to really explore. With him crawling, he is literally into EVERYTHING! His new endeavor seems to be climbing the stairs, which freaks me out A LOT. He is also starting to try lots of new foods. I think we have finally had a breakthrough - he isn’t living on baby food and goldfish alone, of course that means that the goldfish manufacturers are losing some business… :)
Okay, I am exhausted, and I can’t wait to unload all my praise for my little one…BUT I think it can wait until tomorrow. Nighty, night!
